King Masonic Lodge #722 was chartered in 1961 which branched off from Pilot Lodge #493 in Pilot Mountain North Carolina. The Masonic Lodge met above the bank in downtown King, NC until land could be aquired and a Lodge Building could be built.
King Masonic Lodge #722 moved from its previous location off of Highway 52 S to 226 Jefferson Church Rd. The Grand Master of North Carolina Masons, Lewis R. Ledford was present for the Public Corner Stone laying ceremony on July 14th 2011. The Master of King Lodge #722, David Lee and the Worthy Matron of King Chapter #326, Viriginia Jones were present for this historic occasion.
